Welcome back to Term 2
Hello and Welcome to Term 2 !
This term 5 Green will be kept busy with a range of learning and activities.
In Maths the students will be revisiting and expanding on the following: decimals, factors, multiples, number patterns, division (with remainders), area, angles, symmetry, chance, graphs and direction.
In English the students are learning how to write and create imaginative narratives as well as information reports that will assist with History.
In History the students will be writing an information report on St Helena Island. the students will be travelling to St Helena at the end of week 4 (Friday 16th May). The Students will learn how St Helena was used as a free settlement, penal settlement, how prisoners lived on the island and how it is used today as a tourist attraction.
In Science the students will be looking at habitats and how plants and animals adapt to their surroundings. From this the students will be creating a diorama displaying a chosen habitat.
In Religion the students will be learning about the sacraments and their significance, symbols and how they are performed.
Don't forget to check the homework page for weekly homework as well as Twitter for daily update of what we are learning about in class.
Don't forget to hand in HOMEWORK every Friday from 28/04/2014 ($50 class cash dollars up for grabs each week for handing in complete homework).
